Jurisdictional Briefs
For the Supreme Court of Ohio to consider hearing a civil case, a Memorandum in Support of Jurisdiction is usually required. The Bison Jacobson Law Office can write this jurisdictional brief on behalf of a party or amicus curiae to support why the Court should select your case. Since most civil cases are not chosen, this is easier said than done. This jurisdictional brief is your one-shot at persuasion. Why not get a second opinion and a co-counsel on this challenging brief?
Appellate Briefs
The Bison Jacobson Law Office can develop, or assist in developing, a case strategy for appellate briefs, whether you are the party or amicus curiae. Figuring out compelling arguments to suit the taste of appellate courts is an art, not a science. Barbara has been a student of this artform her entire career and is ready to use her skills to help you.
Oral Argument
Taking ideas from the written word and turning them into a persuasive oral presentation is a unique challenge. What questions are the judges or justices likely to have? With the right demeanor and the right set of skills, the advocate at oral argument has the last chance to persuade the appellate court. Barbara knows how to be your spokesperson before the court.
